Plan A1 (Research only)
(1) Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, medical technology, public health, chemistry, food science, veterinary medicine, medicine, dental surgery, pharmacy, medical science, or other related fields accredited by the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.
(2) Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
(3) Applicants must have at least 2 years of research experience in a microbiology-related field or have enrolled for at least 10 credits of Microbiology- and/or Immunology- related subjects.
(4) Applicants must obtain an English Proficiency Examination score as required by the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
(5) Applicants with qualifications that deviate from those specified in 2 and 4 may be considered for admission at the discretion of the Program Director, the Program Executive Committee, and the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
Plan A2 (Coursework and research)
(1) Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, medical technology, public health, chemistry, food science, veterinary medicine, medicine, dental surgery, pharmacy, medical science, or other related fields accredited by the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.
(2) Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher.
(3) Applicants must obtain an English Proficiency Examination score as required by the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
(4) Applicants with qualifications that deviate from those specified in 2-3 may be considered for admission at the discretion of the Program Director, the Program Executive Committee, and the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

Plan A1 (Research only)
1) Total time of study should not exceed the study plan.
2) Students must complete 36 credits of Thesis.
3) Students must meet the English Competence Standard of Graduate Students as defined by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University.
4) Students must participate in and pass professional and personal (soft) skill development activities following the guidelines issued by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University.
5) Students must submit thesis and pass the oral thesis defense examination evaluated by the committee appointed by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University. The oral thesis examination must be open to a general audience.
6) Thesis or a part of the thesis must be published or accepted for publication in a national or international peer-reviewed academic journal and the quality must adhere to the announcement made through the Commission on Higher Education on the topic of “Criteria for Consideration of Academic Journals for Disseminating Academic Results” and according to the announcement of the Faculty of Graduate Studies
Plan A2 (Coursework and research)
1) Total time of study should not exceed the study plan.
2) Students must complete their courses as stated in the curriculum with at least 24 credits including 12 credits of Thesis. Overall, students must complete a total of at least 36 credits with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00.
3) Students must meet the English Competency Standard of Graduate Students as defined by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University.
4) Students must participate in and pass professional and personal (soft) skill development activities following the guidelines issued by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University.
5) Students must submit thesis and pass an oral thesis defense examination evaluated by a committee appointed by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University. The oral thesis examination must be open to a general audience.
